60s Bus Tour & Trembling Wilburys this Sunday 3rd September. The Great River Race, a race on the Thames over 21.6 miles from Docklands to Ham on Saturday 9th September. Lots going on at the finish line with a Street Food Festival and a Fullers Beer Tent!  A great place to watch the boats is Richmond Riverside where a live commentary will be explaining the different boats and crews from Bermuda. Free boat rides for everyone from midday outside the White Cross Pub to the finish line outside Ham House. The Railway Children at Richmond Theatre is on this week until Sunday with a performance at 2.30pm on the final day. E. Nesbit’s classic novel The Railway Children is brought thrillingly to life in a stunning new stage production. Teddington Farmers Market opens its doors for the first time on Sunday 10thSeptember in the Turing House School on Queens Road.  The weekly market will have around 30 stalls making it the largest food market in in the Borough of Richmond. Everything from freshly caught fish, free range meats, organic vegetables, bread cakes and some classic street food including freshly baked wood fired pizza. Look out for seasonal game and the start of the British apple season. It’s a great time of year to come and buy a joint of meat for a special Sunday roast. Combine a visit to the market with a stroll around Bushey Park or trip to Teddington Lock

Richmond Twinning Anniversary Event to celebrate 40 years of twinning between Richmond and Fontainebleau. Everyone welcome to attend from midday on Sunday 17th September in the grounds of Orleans House Gallery. To keep in the Anglo-French spirit, a child wearing a beret could also win their parents a family lunch for four at Chez Lindsay, Richmond. Live music on the day will be performed by The Basement Door’s young musicians, school choirs, St Margarets based The Elastic Band and singalong group Vocal Tonix.
